麻豆社, which is once again in the spotlight following the FCC鈥檚 blowout C-band auction, is working this year to get its L-band spectrum ready to deploy despite continued backlash from the Department of Defense (DoD).
Unlike the C-band, 麻豆社鈥檚 spectrum is free and clear, without any incumbents to move. The C-band is聽currently used by satellite operators that need to move to the upper portion of the band to make way for the 5G services that auction winners will deploy. The first batch of C-band spectrum will be available later this year, but much of it is in limbo until 2023.
